The collection consists of scrapbooks of the Mountville Community Club (Ga.) from 1950-1972. The scrapbooks include clippings, committee reports, lists of officers, membership rosters, and photographs documenting the activities of youth, church, and school groups as well as the organization's relationship with the Agricultural Extension Service. Community improvement projects, such as cemetery cleanup, food preservation, and home remodeling, are also featured in the scrapbooks. The collection also contains achievement certificates for awards won by the Club's scrapbooks and a scrapbook (1954) prepared by students at Mountville Elementary School containing oral histories with area residents documenting Mountville's history.
